About the Author
Ángeles Mastretta. Nació en Puebla en 1949. Se graduó en Periodismo por la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales de la UNAM. En 1985, publicó su primera novela, Arráncame la vida, que obtuvo el Premio Mazatlán en México y se convirtió en un verdadero fenómeno de crítica y ventas, tanto en el mundo de habla hispana como en otros países, puesto que fue traducida a quince idiomas. Ha publicado también los libros Mujeres de ojos grandes (1990), Puerto libre (1994), Mal de amores (Premio Rómulo Gallegos 1997), El mundo iluminado (1998), Ninguna eternidad como la mía (1999), El cielo de los leones (2003), Maridos (2007) y La emoción de las cosas (2013).

The book is well written, I didn't understand a few words because the writer is Mexican and they have different names other than the ones that I recognize, but I recommend it.
